The Oscar Mauzy Leadership Conference, Saturday, March 12, 2016, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, will provide learning and networking opportunities with leaders in the professions that will help you emerge as an influential voice in your workplace, your community, and in TSHA. Specific topics will include determining your leadership style, traits of a great leader, and personal accountability when volunteering.
The Oscar Mauzy Leadership Conference, sponsored by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation, honors the memory of Oscar Mauzy, whose passion for public education led him to serve in the Legislature and ultimately on the Texas Supreme Court. This session will provide opportunities for interacting and networking with leaders in the professions, and will focus on critical competencies needed to succeed in today’s healthcare and educational environments. Participants will learn about the structure of TSHA and related professional organizations (e.g., TSHFoundation, TSHA PAC), and review leadership skills that will help them emerge as an influential voice in their workplace, community, and TSHA.
